How did I gain!?
Hey everyone! I am a little puzzled and discouraged this morning. I seem to have gained two pounds this week but I am wondering, why?? This was the first week i a long time that I didn't eat out at all, packed smart lunches (veggies, fruit, whole wheat), and stuck to a 1300 or less calorie goal. I drink 2-3L of water a day (not the first week I have done that). However I have added regular weight lifting but it is only an 8 pound dumbell. I also walk around all day and up stairs with a 25 pound bookbag and this is the first week back to school. Could it be muscle? Am I not eating enough calories? I am frustrated because I was really proud of my eating this week. What do you guys think?

Lady Question...
Thanks so much guys! This is really encouraging Smile I will stop weighing myself until it is over.
Also, someone told me my weight gain could be muscle. I literally did NO exercise before and am now lifting 5 pound weights for 10 minutes every day, walking and doing push-ups. They said I may lose weight after because the muscle will burn the fat faster or something? I sure hope so! Thanks again everyone Smile

I have been working REALLY hard to lose weight - walking, eating properly, no sweet drinks at all... and I was losing but suddenly I gained 3 pounds. So my lady question... does anyone else gain a lot or stop losing around or on their period?

Result of diet or health problems?
I have problems with low blood sugar and low blood pressure - I'm not diabetic though. What is an example of a complex carb?
Thanks for the exercise tip too - I will try that!
