Woot Woot!! SB phase One is working!!!

I am very pleased with my weight loss. I guess my only worry is that I will gain it all back once I go to the second phase. ??? Does anyone know if that's true or not?
UPSIDE: feeling great! This is the first time I've had a weight loss that is mostly happening around the dreaded stomach area! My muffin top is receding.. hurrah! haha I've also heard that the weight loss picks up in the second week. look out!
DOWNSIDE: If I never eat turkey bacon or eggs after this next week I'm not sure I'll be sad. UGH.

**By the way, I read on an online forum that Diet Coke is acceptable for phase one. ALL THAT SELF-INDUCED TORTURE FOR NOTHING!! aaaahhh!

haha

(actually, it has been nice to cut back. feeling less bloaty)

love you all! hoping you have had a great diet week! ;)

Hello lovely FSers...

Day 5 of South Beach and doing mostly okay... I've had some kind of viral cold thingy this week which is not making my diet any easier, seeing as how headaches, nausea, and irritability often occur when in Phase 1. Also constipation!!!! Maybe I would've thought twice about this had I realized what a sugar junkie I was. :) In the end, I'm sure it will be good, (each day is getting easier in terms of side effects) but for now I WANT PIZZA!!!!
I ran 3 miles last night and felt like I was going to die. Does anyone know if you're supposed to be working out during phase 1? It almost seems like my body is working too hard during workouts these last 5 days. Carbs really make a difference. I'm scheduled to run 10 tomorrow but, cold aside, I don't really see that happening without some kind of carbohydrates in my system. I, believe it or not, do not want to have a heart attack. (Though from my list of favorite foods, you might think otherwise... :) )
I didn't really mean for this to be a complaining journal entry... on the whole I am feeling thinner... but SO EXHAUSTED!!!! My husband can't wait for me to be off of Phase 1. Or any diet for that matter... he doesn't mind a few extra lbs as long as he has someone to eat with. :) Also he told me tonite that he would like for me to incorporate some "real meat" (i.e. RED MEAT) into the meal plan. hahahaha. I've burnt him out on ground turkey, chicken breast, and fish. He can only stand eating healthily for so long. Heck, I'd probably be the exact same way if I had his metabolism.
On an unrelated note, I got my hair cut SUPER SHORT!!! It's finally the faux-hawk that I've always wanted. I was going to wait until I reached my goal weight to get it cut that short (I have a round face so I was worried it would make me look fat) but my girlfriend who does hair for Paul Mitchell asked me to be a hair model for a professional photo shoot... so I said what the hay I"ll do it!! It looks really great, and so punk rock! We changed the color to a purple/red.
The photo shoot was a blast. Hopefully, the shots will get published in a hair magazine and I can jumpstart my plus-size modeling career!! (haha j/k) If they do get published, it will be fabulous for my friend's cosmetology career. :) yay. Maybe when I scruff up some energy later I can put some pics up for you all to see.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful friday... blessings to you all for a rockin' weekend!!

Well Well...

Day 2 of South Beach (and no diet coke!!!! aahhhhh).. Things are going pretty well. I've started drinking coffee (which i have always hated) due to the very sad fact that I just can't make it through my day without caffeine... :) Probably true of most toddler moms, or moms in general.
Anyway, getting back on the wagon in terms of running has been rough. It's funny how it takes weeks/months to become a conditioned runner and only a week or two to completely lose all the ground you've gained. I ran 2 miles yesterday and 4 today.. MAN it was a struggle... but, forward focus!, the race is in three weeks.
It's so good to be back on here regularly, and I am SO GLAD to see how well everyone is doing on the whole. It's encouraging to see all of you who never give up, even when the going gets BORING!!! I just love all my FS buddies.
You guys rock!!!

okay....

so I'm trying to turn over a new leaf. I've petered out on Weight Watchers... so I'm trying South Beach now. A girlfriend of mine did it and had major success, so we are going to be diet buddying for the next few weeks. Phase One seems like it will be really boring, eating-wise, but I think I'm really going to enjoy cleaning out my system. The kids and I vacationed in Myrtle Beach last week with friends. It was AMAZING, but I definitely ate too much and a lot of the wrong things. However, I DON'T FEEL GUILTY. You've gotta cut loose sometimes.:)
The half-marathon is looming every closer, and the furthest I've run in three weeks is six miles. I've got to kick it into high gear starting TODAY! I could use all your well wishes and prayers to make this happen.
And.. once the race is over... maybe baby number three??!!! :) We'll see...

Love you all!
My support is with you!
