Today was a rough day- work was pretty stressful and also at every meeting there were homemade cookies, chocolates, store-bought cookies, cake and pizza. I'm pretty sure that on any other diet attempt I probably would have caved. I must have bothered my diet buddy five times today... luckily she was very helpful and I stayed on track for the day.

It's funny, you let yourself have just a little bit of desert, or just one slice of pizza... and then inevitably it all starts going downhill. In no time, you end up going back to your regular ways and quitting altogether. I was determined not to let that happen- not a single bite of unhealthy fattening junk food. I don't regret it at all; in fact, I feel great. There will always be junk food to eat. But I don't have my entire life to finally get thin.

Weighed myself again today! I barely lost any weight at all, which makes sense because we've only been doing this for a few days. Here's what I've been telling myself:

Weight loss is a slow process, but even losing weight slowly is better than staying the same weight or even gaining, which would inevitably happen if you don't watch what you eat. Also, even if I won't reach my goal weight for several months, even in a couple of weeks I will have lost at least some weight. Also, those months will pass anyway! So there is no reason to give up.

Meanwhile, it's fun to do other things that instantly improve your beauty:

Physical:
Showering and doing laundry more often.
Spending more time every day brushing my hair
Doing beauty routines like face masks
Picking out a nice outfit and accessories
Shaving every day, and increase time spent brushing and flossing
Getting to bed on time and exercising in the morning

Emotional:
Nice smile
Neater room- less cluttered=less emotionally cluttered
Be kind to everyone. Being kind is not the same as being nice
Seeing friends more
Having firm professional and academic goals and working hard each day to achieve them- I think decisiveness and control make others seem sexy to me, so they also make you seem sexy to others. Of course, having goals in life is about much more than being sexy.
Reading informative articles and having meaningful hobbies


Weight loss is just one aspect of a general effort toward self-improvement. We will never give up!
