I was born in 1943. At 5 ft 10 inches I started this lifestyle plan weighting 342 pounds on April 15, 2009. My BMI (Body Mass Index) was 49.1 which put me way in the morbidly obese range. I have been fat all my life, but especially the past 20 years. I have multiple health problems directly related to my weight.
We do know that in the broad general subject area this is a exceeding complicated multifaceted problem. Just a few pronouncements will never work and is a harbinger to the true ignorance of the proponents being promoted.
I discovered that our Creator made our bodies to consume primarily foods that Indigenous Man ate. Non-ancestral foods produce advanced glycation end products which broadly speaking produce metaflammation. Metaflammation is a new class of inflammation. I have lost a tremendous amount of weight on my journey. Along the way I studied chronic disease receiving my doctorate with a concentration in the area in 2012. C reactive protein (CRP) lab test, a measure of inflammation is still useful as obesity is a chronic inflammatory disease in its symptoms. I would recommend it to all, but it goes beyond that. If someone must have a diet I can only recommend the Paleo if one does not get “too cute” with it. Paleo at its core is a diet steeped in ancestral food ingestion, but even there it is only part of the answer.
We are living in the age of discovery of new endocrine systems; fat being the largest and most active. Muscles and their contractions are another recent discovery in endocrine function that controls this area. All these must be incorporated in the lifestyle plus more to get to where God intended His perfect creation to be nurtured.
I could go on for a while, but the very simplistic explanation above will get anyone interested in touch with me. I am happy to help anyone. The one constant given is that at present 100% of diets fail long term. It is not a misstatement to say that diets are fattening.
