I went up a half kg this week. I'm a bit puzzled since I've not eaten much this week. I was sick one day - like really sick! Oh, well! I'm not going to obsess over it. I'm just going to buckle down & work harder & exercise more. To be honest, aside from what I've been doing at work, I've not really been getting other exercise. Maybe I've been eating more than I realised. That's very easy to do. I'll just be more vigilant & exercise more & just work a lot more at it. I'm not brushing this off, but I'm also not going to be overly concerned unless it becomes a trend. I did gain last week & I gained this week, but unless there's a third week of a gain, I'm not going to view it as a trend. My doctor did say that he was concerned about my thyroid - maybe it's something about that? Well, whatever the reason, I'm not going to think too much about it - despite me babbling on in this status - & just make sure that I get in more exercise & eat well. Onwards & upwards! Or downwards when it comes to weight & clothing sizes. :D Today's the main day of the fair, & I'm looking forward to volunteering at the children's section. Yeah!! :D

Quite a pleasant surprise! I thought that if there was any change, it'd have been a small gain. To find that I lose a wee bit is good. It's not long 'til it's That Time Of The Month for me, & that almost always brings about a gain, even if it's just a small one. So to find that I've actually gone down a little bit is a good thing. Weight is not the end-all-be-all to me - I go a lot more by how my clothes fit on me & by my fitness level - but weight is still an important gauge in this journey. So every victory, even the smallest, is a good thing.

It's bright & sunny & cool here - it feels more like mid-fall or early spring does in my neck of the woods instead of nearing the end of summer & on Labour Day weekend. Oh, well! I prefer cooler weather. I love the sun, but then I love rain & snow & basically all kinds of weather except for high heat, & winter's my favourite season.

I did a lot of cleaning yesterday & am taking this weekend to rest from the aches & pains I got from client being resistive to care last weekend. I got sore muscles from that, & I couldn't take any days off during the week. Now, though, I have three days off (3.5 if you count yesterday when I got off, which I do) & plan to just relax aside from cleaning the windows here in my home that I didn't get to yesterday. I did a lot of cleaning here yesterday, although there's still lots to do once I clear my clutter away.

I have no problem with a bit of clutter here & there, but I have so much stuff that it's become a problem since I have no storage in my place & can't afford a storage unit at this time. Oh, well! There's a lot of stuff that I need to either toss or donate anyway, & I'm slowly working on that. I find that doing it slowly makes it easier for me than to do one huge purge in one or two sessions. It's too jarring that way, & I couldn't deal with that sort of thing right now. I have the time, & even one box a day, or some other cleaning, is better than none at all.

I started taking vitamins in gummy form yesterday. It's a woman's formula. I'm doing the gummies because pills aren't the easiest for me. Besides, I tend to remember to take them easier when they're in gummy form - I learnt this years ago. It's been quite a while since I took any kind of supplements, & I decided to do it again. So far so good! :)

I've been eating breakfast every day this month, & I noticed a definite difference the very first day. I felt better & had more energy right at the start.

I've not been to a single restaurant at all this month. My challenge is specific to fast food joints, but I just thought I'd mention this. haha I will be going to Wendy's on Wednesday, but I'm meeting someone there, & so I'll have one of their salads. I love Wendy's salads!

Overall, things are good. In this cooler weather, my cat loves to snuggle & returns to his lap cat status. So right now he's stretched out down the length of my lap, his gingery goodness purring his happiness & contentment.

I hope all of you are well & having a great weekend as well! :)

OK, so I decided that my challenge'll be a 3-part thing. The first two are to eat breakfast every day & to abstain from fast food; although this latter one does have an exception to it - if I'm out with someone who refuses to go anywhere else, then I will have fast food. There are healthy choices at pretty well every place these days, & so that's why I feel all right making this exception. It's ONLY if I'm with someone else, though.

The third part of this challenge has to do with my home, which is quite messy & in need of a cleaning out. I'm not a hoarder, although, as a pack rat, I could become one. I just have a place that's quite small & I have too much stuff for the space in which I live. What I'll do with this is to spend time each day, except Sundays, doing at least one thing that'll help to tidy up & to declutter my place. Even going through just one box counts since it's a super hard thing for me to get rid of stuff & getting rid of one box of stuff is a huge deal for me. So, yeah! There ya have it!

The time period for this the entire month of September. I was going to go for a longer period of time, but I think that this'll be a good start for me. I'm working on a reward system for myself, & I'll share it when I have it in place.

So is anyone else going to join me in challenging him- or herself with something? Your choice! I know that a friend here's already joining me in the no fast food bit. Any other takers? All are welcome, & what you choose for your own challenge(s) is completely up to you, as well as the length of time & all the details, including whether you have a reward system in place or not. :)
