My name is Maria and I have been battling with my weight almost my entire life. When I was 8 years old, I weighed over 100 lbs. I joined a weight loss group with my grandma at that time and lost about 15 lbs. Thats not bad for an 8 yr old. Going forward, although I would lose a few lbs here and there, I could never maintain a healthy weight. I was an overweight child, teenager, and now I am an overweight adult. About 2 years ago, I began the Weight Watchers plan with a friend, and as an incentive to stick to it, we planned a summertime vacation on the beach 4 months from our starting date. We had it in our heads that we had 4 months to get into shape so that we could show off our new bodies on the beach! We were both successful by the time of our trip, both losing over 20 lbs each. I never could have done it without the constant support of my friend. I would always joke that she was my "food sponsor" and whenever I had a craving or was about to eat something I shouldn't, I would call her and she would help talk me out of it. Lets just say, there were definitely a lot of phone calls made to her!! Unfortunately shortly after my weight loss, I began gaining everything I had lost back, and then some. It has been 2 years and I have gained over 40 lbs. My friend and I have begun to follow Weight Watchers together again. Having the motivation and support of a friend or family member doing the plan with you I feel is key. I don't think I would be able to do it alone. So here starts phase II of my voyage to be thin/healthy and look as good as I do in my picture.

CALLING ALL PIZZA LOVERS--Yummy 2pt pizza!!
Hi guys! In case you didn't know, Weight Watchers brand has come out with 100% whole wheat pita bread, and 1 whole pita is just 1 point! How wonderful is that? So I decided to buy a jar of pizza sauce--most are 0 points and some fat-free mozzerella, 1pt per serving and made a very yummy little pizza for only 2 points!! I threw on tons of veggies, sprinkled some oregano, italian seasonings and popped it in the oven until the cheeze was melted. It was very yummy and sure to curb any pizza cravings you might have! Enjoy!

BEST Piece of exercise equipment ever!!
For the money, you truly can't go wrong with this one, girls! You are in total control of how fast or slow you move, so you're working out at a pace thats comfortable for you. It just folds right down flat and has little wheels for when you're moving it. Best of all, it's so darn quiet! You won't have to turn the volume up on your TV when you're using it or worry about disturbing others in your home. A++

BEST Piece of exercise equipment ever!!
The Tony Little Gazelle is amazing! I actually discovered the Gazelle about 6 years ago when my mom purchased one and it helped me lose about 25lbs in less than 3 months. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a gliding machine that works your arms, legs, abs, and butt all at once, almost simulating cross country skiing. I hate working out as much as the next person, but I can honestly tell you that the Gazelle is actually fun. It's completely silent, and folds flat for storage under a bed, if needed. It comes with a digital calorie counter/timer so you know exactly how many calories you're burning. The best thing to do is to set it up near a television and use it while watching your favorite show. You'll be so involved in watching the TV that you hardly notice you're burining tons of calories!! Not to mention, it's probably one of the most inexpensive pieces of equipment out there that works all of those muscles at once. I just purchased one of my own online yesterday for $74.99 brand new with free shipping from GNC.com. The model is the Gazelle Edge. There are other models besides the Edge but they are more expensive because they have certain additional features like heart rate monitor etc. Other than little additions, they're pretty much the same machine from the most expensive model to the cheapest. I figured that as long as I have a timer and calorie counter, I'll be good to go. You can buy them at Wal-Mart, Dicks, and Target I believe but they're running about $90.00 there I noticed. Anyways, it's a great buy for those of you who are looking for a good piece of equipment without spending a ton!
