Hello,

I am a 31 year old Mom of 3 living in Ontario, Canada. My newest edition is 6 months old and has started solid food, so it's made me feel comfortable to start trying to loose weight since I don't think it will affect my milk supply over much because he has other options now too. I suffer from Pernicious Anemia and have had it for my whole life, but it was only Just discovered this Pregnancy. I take my B12 shots every 3 days and am doing great with my treatment.
I gained weight starting in my late teens when my symptoms went crazy. 12 years later, I have energy again and fully intend to spend it burning off much of my fat stomach. I love the fact that the calorie counting is so simple on this site. I have never counted calories before because I was irritated by the thought that people will actually weigh a chicken breast and then do math!! Who wants to do math at dinner. This system is better because I sit down in the morning and make the meal plan for the day and can decide how much to put on my plate before I am hungry and irritated. It also means that my family knows what is for dinner before they leave for the day and can tell me if I will need to make more or less for them to eat. Men and boys get hungry. I think its working. Time will tell. I am hoping to loose 4 pounds a week, but any steady decline is okay by me. Stay healthy everybody!!

Hello! Same here...though I have the weight from babies 2 and 3 to loose! lol! Been working out for two weeks now, but I was truely amazed at how much sugary drinks were holding me back! Love this program! Good luck!

I'm new here, have ballooned up to 215 lbs and am sick and tired of how I look and feel!
Use the food info, pre-plan your meals in the morning before work. Don't put anything in your mouth that you didn't write down. If you do eat something write it down and try and reduce a portion later on in the day. I find if I do it in the morning or before bed, I really know where I stand. Never put anything in your mouth unless you have asked yourself "do I want the yummy, or do I wanna be healthy?" I love this site, I have just started and hear you on the medical probs, i'm there. But writing down the food has made it perfectly clear to me where my calories were coming from.

Vegan?
I really don't know where this fear of carbs is coming from for everyone lately. All sugar will be metabolized into fat if it isn't burned off. It doesn't matter if you eat fat from animals or make your own fat from sugar. It's all the same to your body. Don't fear food. Respect it. You need it, just take what you need. As far as the B12, keeping your Blood serum above 1000 should be good for anyone. If you have no trouble absorbing it, a supplement everyday will more then keep you healthy. If your levels are below 1000 you can get the doctors to give you an injection once a month. Knowledge is power.
