I have been a yo-yo dieter most of my life. For the past couple of years I was following a low cal / low fat diet without success. Even at a 900 calorie level I was not losing any weight. My metabolism was really messed up so I decided to shake it up and I started Atkins, Increased my fat, increased my protein and drastically cut my carbs. I was trying 65% fat, 30% protein and 5% carbs.
