I had a big test today.......the "what will I ever eat at the restaurant?" challenge. I ordered a salad with chicken and didn't eat the bread they brought. The dressing wasn't entirely dietworthy, but...oh well. I stayed pretty close. The rest of the day was by the book. I decided not to weigh in today. Every other day should be enough.

Well, it appears that I have lost 3 pounds, but I know better than to get excited. I always seem to bounce up and down for a few days. Tomorrow I may be up, but I'm not going to let that get me down. I've been very motivated and have been exercising like crazy on top of staying to the letter of the law with the diet. I feel great too!

Day 1 behind me. I did pretty well, and never felt hungry at all. I made sure I ate small amounts often. I discovered the wonder of the fitness channel and got lots of exercise. My DVR will record sessions so I can do them at night. I think the key is going to be exercise this time around!

Well, I've started! It's day one on Phase I of South Beach and my starting weight is 221. I have nowhere to go but down!
