Jump Start Your Day-Early AM Cardio
Yes of course any exercise is important. However, if you talk with bodybuilders and such, they will tell you the best time to burn your fat reserves is first thing in the morning, doing light to moderate cardio before eating anything. Yes eating before a big workout with weights and HIIT cardio is WAY important, otherwise your body has no fuel. But if you're only doing cardio, your body takes it energy from a different place than weight training. I'm doing a combination of both, working to get off the last 20 lbs. I lost 30lbs last summer only doing 20-30min of cardio 3-5 times per week first thing in the morning, along with healthy eating.
