This week I made a deal with myself to walk to work every day.
in one working week I have walked 30 kilometers.
Here in the UK it is dark at 6.15am, so the hardest thing at first was getting out of a warm bed and getting into my joggers for a 6k with my work clothes and lunch in a backpack! But, I have started to enjoy the walk, my time has got quicker, and I get to indulge in my favourite music or a good audiobook on my headphones.
I recommend it to you all if you live within walking distance of your workplace. I walk in, but I catch a bus back home. I'm apprehensive about what my weigh in will be next week!

Been naughty with the cakes again...(blush)...I have had such intense sugar cravings in the past couple of weeks. Whats the key to stopping sugar cravings?

I am having a good day today, I am feeling very positive! Today I walked the 3.8 miles to work, and I feel much more buoyant that I normally would. Exercise is helping me keep the Autumnal blues away.

After a nasty summer cold and a weekend away, I have definately NOT lost anything this week. I've gone over big time on the calories and done barely any exercise so I have decided not to weight this week, as it will mean certain disappointment!!
On the negative side, I slipped back into my old ways and could resist a few cold BEERS in the sunshine. It has to be said though that I do have something positive to report from that slight MIS-HAP:
I did not enjoy the beers...Now that is a positive development.
The beer is my enemy in terms of my diet, and this feels like if not a 'final' knock on the head, then at least a bit of a break up :-)
I am feeling strong for a good week ahead!
