I'm 47 years old and live in Wisconsin. I'm married to a great guy -- the second time around for both of us and we've been married for 8 years. I have an 20-year old son; and he has 2 daughters, ages 18 and 15. We also have two great English Springer Spaniels, Kelcie and Maggie.

My problem is that I enjoy life too much. We go out to eat too often and entertain a lot too. I usually eat quite healthy, food selection wise. I simply eat too much; and I love to have margaritas and other such high calorie such cocktails. Plus we travel quite a bit.

I have just gotten too heavy. I'm most comfortable around 150-155 pounds. That's where I need to get to, if not lower. Am strappin' on the walking shoes right now.....

Me and my friend placed a bet
You want to make sure to be caffeine free when you are doing your cardio. Caffeine restricts blood flow, so you'll feel fatigued much faster than without it. I always do my cardio, drink my water, then reward myself with a mug of coffee... without sugar, of course.

Making whipped cream from heavy whipping cream
Ex-farm girl here.... make sure that you are using a squeaky clean glass bowl, preferably chilled. If you're using plastic or stainless steel, you will likely have problems getting it to whip up.

acai berry supplement
Sure. Taken from "The Natural Fat-Loss Pharmacy" book, by Harry Preuss MD (if you want to look it up), here are some of the ones I find most interesting:
> HCA (Hydroxycitric Acid) -- Stop your body from manufacturing extra fat (It's an extract from tamarind fruit found in India).
> Chromium -- helps regulate blood sugar, which helps reduce cravings and aids in the weight loss coming from fat, rather than muscle.
> White Kidney Bean extract -- blocks the absorption of the carbs you eat. (I personally love this stuff)
> 5-HTP for appetite control; and it increases your serotonin, which is the 'feel good' factor in your body.
I personally take chromium, 5-HTP, and White Kidney Bean extract. You can find these under a variety of brands; I'm not making any recommendations here. Just choose a good quality brand so you know it will work -- many natural supplement brands are low quality and do NOTHING for you.

acai berry supplement
I used to work in the supplement industry. Acai berry is just another antioxidant... and not even a very potent one. There's no magic. It's just another hyped "new" thing. There are some supplements that can help in dieting, but acai berry isn't one of them.

Invite new people after challenge has begun
Unfortunately, you can't add anyone after it starts. Even the FatSecret folks can't do it. I somehow got booted out of a challenge group that I joined, and no one can add me back into it. It's a bummer. The only thing you can do is start a new challenge of your own and have them join.
