Already seeing progress! I didn't expect a jump in such a small amount of time but I'm certainly not complaining. I've realised I eat when I'm bored -- I just like the feeling of eating and I love flavours but that's something I have to stop. I took a nice 4-mile walk to the river and back today to go fishing through the sunrise -- always a great inspiration to get things done!

Last winter, I went about losing weight in an unhealthy fashion. I was successful in losing weight, but I lost too much and too quickly. I have let myself take some time off, regain the weight I needed to be healthier and recover from the illnesses that resulted. Now, I am ready to try again, in a healthy fashion, to reach a more reasonable weight goal, after gaining a little more than I want to hold onto during my recovery period.
This red arrow is not a bad red arrow. It's a 10-month-long red arrow that I needed, and now I'm ready to go back to green ones.
I'm ready to feel healthy again.

A faster drop than I'd expected, but I'm not complaining! I've never been able to break this low. I've switched things up and have been portioning my meals differently, as well as making a point to go to the gym every day. Trying to get into hiking shape for summer! (it's hard to train for hiking in a really flat place...any suggestions?)

Across my school's break, I completely let go of any dieting that I was doing and area regular 3 meals per day. The dip in weight is surprising to me because of this, but at the same time, because I was home with family, I was eating healthy meals -- and not huge ones (I think I overeat when I'm cooking for myself). I also made a point to exercise more when I as home (hiking, ice-spiking, skiing, skating, etc.). Having a way to exercise outside of going to the gym felt really good. I'm hoping that now that I'm back, I'll be able to carry these habits forward with me (even though I missed my 6am wake up this morning for the gym...darn jet lag! am still going to try for an evening session though).

Lowing calorie intake again, hoping I won't binge on these little (addictive) dutch cookies. It's easy not to when they're put away in the cupboard but my oh-so-sweet unit mate left a bowl on the counter for everyone to take from. Not what I need but oh so much of what I want! One day at a time. I've got 9 days until I go home, I want to surprise my family with a change.
