I don't know how I missed this, but the Diet Calendar actually shows what you've eaten, what you've burned, and the difference. So, by adding up the differences, I can literally see how many calories in deficit I need before I lose another pound. So, starting tomorrow, I'm going to really step it up. It's been nine days on the diet...I don't know why I'm so hard on myself. So, I've had my few hours of self-pity, and I'm okay now! Now, if the food entry "catalog" would only have a listing for a freakin', REGULAR, RAW SWEET POTATO! Hahahaha...I hope everyone's weekend is fabulous! My husband and I have a date on Sunday for Red Lobster. I think I'll have a hard time finding something that agrees with my vegetarian/vegan-ish habits, but I may have to make some kind of concession. I'm just worried about getting sick. I'm not quite vegan...I'm definitely vegetarian, but I don't eat dairy or eggs, either. Though, since I live where I live, they just don't have vegan substitutes here (except for Vegan butter...like that solves it all, right?), and I have to make exceptions sometimes. Not because I want to. Ahhh, well. At least I have a date!

I'm discouraged that the number on the scale has gone up, but the body fat % has gone down a percent, so I know I'm replacing fat with muscle...I hope, anyway. You never can truat those new digital scales. My hips are smaller, though. So, I'll just keep doing my thing, and hopefully it will pay off. :o)

My husband challenged me to a competition! He asked me last night, "Do you think I can get up to 170 before you get down to 120?" At first, I answered "Yes," because I feel like I'm really reforming the way I'm eating, and I'm not losing as much as fast as I think I should be. After I thought about it, I said, "No, because you have that pituitary problem, and you're a smoker." Now, I'm not sure. He's 157 right now. I'm not sure it would be easier for him to put on weight than it would be for me to lose it. Anyway, it sure is what I needed to get my but in gear. On my strength-training "off days," I'll be doing an hour of heart-pumping cardio. (Previously, those days are completely "off" days. I did almost nothing. Except walk around a store for an hour.)
This competition should be pretty fun. I'm going to win. I think he and I ought to discuss a First Place prize...ha ha ha!

Can anyone explain to me this web site's exercise calculation method? What the hell are kCals? How does it figure what we're eating is more or less than what the standard should be? What's the "standard" on the Abs Diet, anyway?

I've been wondering what I look like in a full-length mirror, since my apartment does not have ANY mirrors that even show my torso...I should probably got to Lowe's and buy a cheap $5 mirror. Anyway, I had to go to the mall anyway today to pick up the ring my mom gave me for my birthday/college graduation, and in JC Penney's there was a full length mirror....I had to say it out loud: "Wow, I'm looking like a have a flatter stomach from the side!" I can really see the difference my healthier eating habits are making, and that makes me feel much better. It's always helpful when I feel like I'm really accomplishing something other than a number on the scale.
So, that's all! Hope everyone else is doing well!
