College student working towards degree in instrumentation. I'm into lifting weights for hypertrophy and strength. I don't get into much conditioning now days due to busy schedule and haven't done calisthenics with an emphasis on cardiovascular/aerobic type exercises in a really long time so I really have to count my macros to see an appreciable drop in my body fat. So far its worked out great. There was a small learning curve for my body in the first 3 weeks of dieting but now I can eat less and less with no drop in energy and the weight has been coming off rather quickly. I think that has to do with the strong base of muscle I've built first when I was eating nearly as much as I could everyday without feeling nauseous. With that high macro intake came unwelcome body fat especially in my core. I would recommend as a first step for anyone to reduce calorie intake by portion control before making large changes in the actual diet. I enjoy anything to do with health whether experiential or anecdotal.
