7 reasons why I should avoid low-calorie diets:

1. Slows down my metabolism and I burn calories and fat LESS effectively!
2. Makes me lose MUSCLE and STORE fat!
3. It increases the activity of fat-storing enzymes and
decrease the activity of fat burning enzymes!
4. Very low calorie diets decrease output of my thyroid hormone. This
results in decrease in metabolism and a decrease in calories burned.
5. It INCREASES my chances of rebounding weight gain!! EEEEEEK!
6. It INCREASES my appetite and CRAVINGS!
7. It decreases my energy and work capacity!

I must give up the entire concept of dieting on very low calories to lose weight. I’ll never lose weight permanently with low calorie diets – it’s physiologically impossible. Temporary dieting can only produce temporary results. I must use other methods.

8 Powerful Strategies to Stay Out of The Starvation Mode and Lose Fat
Permanently Without Dieting or Deprivation.

1.Adopt the “habit” mindset instead of the “diet” mindset
2.Keep your muscle at all costs
3.Use a small calorie deficit.
4.Use exercise to burn the fat rather than diets to starve the fat
5.Determine your minimal calorie requirements and never drop below
them – ever!
6.Eat more frequently and never skip meals
7.Don’t stay in a negative calorie balance long
8.Make your goal to lose weight slowly at a rate of 1-2 lbs. per week. Be patient.

BE PATIENT. BE PATIENT. BE PATIENT. BE PATIENT. BE PATIENT.

woke up feeling and looking (to mine own eyes) much slimmer than i did yesterday. amazing how our mind and what we focus on, influences our perspective! And its mostly bcos i had a really good day y/day. Despite all my social commitments. Am even more committed now to reaching my lifelong, lifetime goals.
This process will steer me on a course that will influence the rest of my life. This IS my life. I need to live it.
Last night on the drive home, had a revelation of a moment a few months ago when i behaved badly towards some people I really love who didnt deserve to be treated badly when i was in a cutting phase, really hungry and it was time to eat.
What I didnt realise is that its not THEIR fault i cudnt eat when i had to eat bcos i have never shared my goals with them. And ive regained that weight anyway. So what was the point of treating them so badly?
So the lesson is I have to make concessions for others. I have to realise what's important. The diet isnt important. Its what I do consistently.
Was it worth it? no. never.
