I've been saying I was going to do a 5k for 6 years. This year I meant it. I've been motivated by several friends who live in my apt building, but one in particular who has a challenge in front of him. He said he wanted to get started on a healthier lifestyle and I said if he could start that, I could do it too.
I started the C25k program on Jan 12, 2016. Today is Feb 28 and I'm getting stronger and faster each workout.
My first 5k is April 8. My goal is to finish the race. I don't care if I'm last in my age group, it will still be a PR for me!
Now I've been lead to #millermethod to help me lose fat and gain lean muscle.
Who knew that my move to NoVA last year would launch a #newyearnewme? I'm excited to see where I go!
