Really rough week. I haven't been able to be perfect in my diet and activity, but I've been good enough.
I really need to learn to feel like good enough is good enough, and not a failure.

The first few pounds always come off so fast. I'm going to enjoy the drastic drops while I can, I know they won't last. It's a long road ahead.

And back down the needle swings. Feeling much better today, got to go out and play board games at the local pub ludique with my best friend all afternoon. Practiced my compersion (joy in her happiness that I'm not a part of) while she had a brownie with ice cream and I settled for an unsweetened latte. It was really good to get out and be in a happy-making place, doing happy-making things.
I need more of this. Both lighter of spirit and lighter on the scale. Friends help with both.
Speaking of, they apparently took away buddies while I was gone from the site, and I'm not entirely sure how following someone works. Do I just click through to a profile and hit the button now, not needing approval? I used to have to message each person first to get accepted. In any case, anyone who would like to "follow" each other, comment here, and I'll do my best to figure out how to add you.

Starting to feel better. I'm going to attempt a groceries run today, and take the dreaded walker with me, so I can sit whenever and wherever my endurance gives out. It sucks to make decisions and resolutions about a healthier life, only to have your feet knocked out from under you by forces you can't control over and over again.
I'm feeling defeated, betrayed by my body, unable to win no matter what I do. Just the kind of mood that leads to a food binge. I'll do my best, but I honestly don't know how far my willpower is going to stretch today. I'm running on empty.
Here's the one thing I can commit to; tomorrow, I will weigh in. I'll own whatever happens today.
