Hello everyone, a little bit about me and why im here

Two and a half years ago i had my second and last child. For the year mat leave i wanted to take full advantage of it and once and for all lose this weight. I ended up losing 100lbs in the year which put me down to 197lbs. I felt great. Well its been a year and a half since that weight loss and ive gained 33lbs. My total weight loss im hoping for is now another 90 lbs. I have joined the Atkins program, and we'll see how that goes.

I work in mental health as a nurse and my hours of work make it difficult to go to the gym, or to find anytime to work out at all. I started a challenge on here that makes you walk 3x/week, so hopefully i can at least get that in.

I love being outdoors, and cant wait for the warmer weather so i can go rollarblading, and walking without fearing a fall on the icy sidewalks.

Help me do this right.. please
I find this site is one of the best for calculating my RDI, plus it helps me keep track of my fat, protein and carbs..its great.
i find i usually have 10-12gr./carbs a day, so hopefully i'll see some improvement when i weigh in. I have also measured so i'll check that once in a while. Im really loving atkins, and i eat a variety of foods. i agree with Mahara, the atkins website is great for recipes, as well its great for general info about the program..

NOT losing weight...why?
Are you still on the induction? If so you are over your allotted carbs for the day (should be under 20).If your in OWL, perhaps youve added too much too soon. The book suggests taking back, and seeing what happens in that week. I too have been on for 3 weeks, ive lost 14lbs and im stuck also. I work nights and i think my body is kind of screwed up because of it. I joined one of the challenges on here 3..2..1.. astronaut one, that makes you go for walks 3x a week. I really dont have time to pack the kids and head to the gym, so thats gonna have to do for now.It gets very frustrating especially since ive heard ppl just 'melt' away with atkins..Just stick to it, keep going!
