I have never made any effort to loose weight in the past. Never paid attention to what I ate or did any exercising. I got up to 260# last Thanksgiving and just had enough. A couple of weeks later I decided to put some effort into loosing some weight before my March spring break cruise. With cutting back on my food intake, cutting out a lot of fast food and sodas, along with tons of time on the treadmill I was able to get down to 225# by mid-March. I was really enjoying loosing the weight so I just continued my efforts. I started really keeping track of my food, exercise and weight in a spreadsheet and that has really helped with moving towards my goal. Once I got a new Android phone and found the Calorie Counter app along with this site it has made all that even easier. My original goal was 160#, but once I hit that I changed my goal to 154#, hit that and now my goal is 145#. I have realized that a goal based on pounds isn't that accurate, so my goal is really more about loosing the extra belly fat I still have. So until my belly is gone I am going to keep adjusting my goal lower.
