I am a 27 year old high school teacher with great intentions and terrible follow through.

I am hoping to work out some meal planning as well as unconventional healthy ideas as my oven is non existent.

I have a loving hubby and three dogs (all who support this endeavor either by encouraging my to eat right and exercise, or literally beg for food out of my hands before it gets to my mouth.)

Just trying to make a change.

Fed Up (literally)
I am fat. There, I said it. For years I floated around 165-170 knowing that for my height I was "pudgy" or "chubby" but still looked good enough in clothes that getting back down to my early 20's 145-150 wasn't that big of a deal (for reference, I am now 27). About a year ago, my hubs and I started a kitchen renovation that has been put off by money and unforeseen issues that has left us without an oven. Busy schedules meant lots of eating out and choosing easy over busting out the electric skillet, rice cooker, crock pot, microwave, etc. Losing the stove saw me gain 20 lbs, and I have told myself I will never see 200 on the scale, and past this week, I never want to see 190 on the scale either.

My goal is 1400 calories per day. I am currently working on simple meal planning for both of us, that includes healthy breakfast burritos, zoodles, salads, and lots of chicken and broccoli. I am a southern girl who is losing her cheerwine and sweet tea (but never my red wine) so this is getting serious.

I'm hoping to be able to find and provide support within this community as I want to be down to that illusive 150 by October (get some practice keeping the weight off before Thanksgiving and Christmas).

I love to bike, swim, and am a weight lifting newbie without a gym membership.
