So, I'm allowing myself 1500 calories a day, since that seems to be a common Calorie Counter diet plan.
1500 lets me have my 100 cal light frappucino Starbucks drink thingy in the morning, and then gives me 400 calories per meal assuming I eat 3 meals a day. That leaves 200 for occasional indulgences or snacks too.
400 calories isn't too bad, and I've found some surprising meals you can do. Take 2 lean turkey-dogs with wheat hot dog buns and ketchup (40 per dog, 80 per bun, 20 per dogs-worth of ketchup for 280 total), and add some Trader Joe's baked potato chips (120 cal). That's a pretty full meal, and it's right at the 400 calorie mark.
And water to drink of course. When dieting, you really gotta learn to love the water...

Let's do this - LEEEEEEEEEROY JEEEEEEEENKINS!
In all honesty, the goal of 200 is my bare minimum to unlock the achievement "Met my New Year's Resolution".
I'd really like to see me get under 180.
