You know, when I weigh in, I usually put "followed reasonably well," because I never seem to do things perfectly each week. But I try my hardest; I'm just not perfect. I kinda feel disappointed in myself when I can't put "followed 100%". That's the perfectionist/high-expectation person I am. Oh well.

I'm doing great overall. Last week I worked out every weekday, which is my ultimate goal right now. I'm not concerned about the 1 lb gain, because I know it is just my weight fluctuating slightly. My measurements were pretty much the same as they were nearly two weeks ago - give or take a 1/2" due to inconsistencies with measuring (again, not perfect - even though I try to be!), or water retention - or lack thereof.

As long as I keep up my workouts every weekday, eat healthy the majority of the time, and keep my calories in check, I will be proud of myself :)

My only complaint about my performance last week was that I only went for a 15-min walk yesterday. It should have been a 25 min walk at least, but the 1.5 mile route I wanted to take was by a school and the time of day that I went was around the time the school gets out, and I dislike trying to walk through crowds of high school kids on the sidewalk, lol. I chose the 1 mile route, because, by the time I got my Mp3 player set up in my arm band (the first time I've used the arm band) and got out the door, I didn't feel like doing the 2-mile route, possibly because I was really busy with work. But, I went on a walk, no matter how short it was, so I did my workout for the day, so that "counts" in my book. Again, no one is perfect.

The other workouts I did last week were a weightlifting and strength training workout on Monday, which left me sore until Thursday, so I did cardio, abs, and yoga DVD workouts, and two walks, the other days. Last week, my abs weren't as sore as when I did the abs workout the week before. Progress!

I'm looking forward to doing a total body DVD workout on Monday, because I wanted to do that workout last week, but my whole body was too sore from Monday's workout and I like to let my muscles heal completely before working them again. I'll also be going for a lot of walks next week, because the weather is supposed to be beautiful :)

I hope you have a great weekend and next week! Stay healthy :)

Well, I have no explanation for this weight loss. I actually thought I was going to gain weight because of eating more, working out every day this week, which is new for me, and in the past I've gained weight from working out. Compared to last week when I was 1.2 lbs heavier, this week I ate more and burned less, so all I can assume is that this is a weight fluctuation. I'm not too affected by it. I'm just happy that I'm now working out every weekday :)

For my and your amusement, these are my average numbers for the last 2 weeks:

Last week:
Ate: 1803
Burned: 2223
Deficit: 420

This week:
Ate: 1932
Burned: 2157
Deficit: 225

This proves that "calories in/calories out" doesn't work for everyone. I am very precise with my food and activity entries. As you can see, I burned more calories last week, even though I didn't do any structured workouts (I was just highly active), and this week I did structured workouts 5/7 days. So the only other thing I can guess is that my body just really likes structured workouts, lol.

I'm not going to change anything about what I've been doing with my food and activity. I'm going to keep eating healthy food when I'm hungry, try to stay under 1900 calories of consumption, and continue working out! I will take this "weight loss" as a weight fluctuation and just be grateful that I didn't gain a lot of weight, which I was hoping wouldn't be the case.

Have a great Saturday!
