This is too much of a gain in 6 days, especially since I didn't do any weightlifting last week. I walked for 5 days, which is great, but I doubt I added 1.6 lbs of muscle from that. If I had weightlifted, I wouldn't be concerned, but due to my circumstances this week, the gain is happening too quickly for my liking. So, I'm going to cut back on my food calories a bit. I'll reduce them by 200. Honestly, I think I'm eating a bit too much for my metabolism, even though I'm burning more calories than I'm eating. I doubt I'm eating 800 calories a day more than I should, which, if I'm doing the math right, equals a 1.6 gain in 6 days. Please correct me if I'm wrong. So part muscle gain, part water retention, part weight fluctuation, part too much food? It could be a combination of any of those. But because I didn't weighlift, I'm certain it's not all muscle gain, which is what I'm striving for. So hopefully a slight reduction in food calories and making sure I weightlift at least one day a week should do the trick.

gaining 1.9 lb a week

Forgot to weigh-in yesterday, my usual weekly weigh-in day. Did 100%, except for not doing a workout on Friday, because I planned on working out over the weekend, which I did today. So no guilt, just not 100%, because my workout schedule is M-F. It appears I'm still gaining muscle. Clothes fit the same. Have a great Sunday!

gaining 1.0 lb a week

I'm the same weight as I was the week before, so this is likely a weight fluctuation, or muscle gain, because I worked out every weekday last week, which I'm really proud of :) I walked four days and did a weightlifting workout one day. I was really sore from weightlifting, but that's good, because it means I'm building muscle. I hope to continue to do weightlifting every week, because I want to continue to build muscle and (hopefully) decrease fat. I'm hoping my weight stays the same, but it could go up, because when I was 15 lbs heavier than I am now, I was the same size, so I believe I lost muscle when I lost that weight (I was really sedentary), so if I add muscle back now, I could end up gaining those 15 lbs back. I hope not, but I'm prepared for a gain nonetheless.
I'm happy today for some reason. I'm happy to have reached my goal weight and to be maintaining while eating approximately what my body burns. That makes me happy, because it means that my metabolism is normal. I can't lose any more weight, no matter how low I decrease my calories, but it's nice that I can eat a substantial amount of calories and not gain. The body is a funny thing, lol. Have a great weekend, all.

gaining 0.8 lb a week

Must be a weight fluctuation or muscle loss, lol (says the pessimistic side of me). I only worked out 3/5 days this week, due to being sick and the rainy weather. And I had very little calorie deficit on average (~100 cals). But, considering these things, it feels good to not have gained (I was worried about that). Guess I'm still maintaining, and that's awesome!! :) Have a great weekend, all.
