I am full of energy and life representing north Ohio. I always used to hate this state, but now i find it to be quite beautiful. I work full-time and have an amazing boyfriend with 2 puppies. We are a happy family :-). My family is my life, and friends come and go but i have found a few keepers in the mix. I love to volunteer and am involved in 3 major organization and i am within the process of opening my own non-profit organization :-)

I love love love sports, any and all. I like to cross-train and mix up my workouts a lot. The harder it is the better i feel. I LOVE core training, playing basketball, and interval training, and YOGA!!! Hopefully one day i will get to the point to where i love strength training a little bit more than what i do now. I would love to start running but i have this huge mental block stopping me.

First weigh in
Hey Miche, Congrats on the awesome 1st week! I looked at your food journal and i agree with Jen53. Some days you are getting too low of a calorie intake that your body will go into starvation mode. Also another thing about eating too low of calories is that one day you will snap and have such an urge to binge. Just be careful because this is a lifestyle, so if you are doing something today that you can see yourself doing in a year from now, then keep at it (obviously, there will be days that get the best of you). However, you should NEVER go below 1200 calories a day for a full grown woman. And 1500 calories for a full grown man. IT is then that your body takes away at the muscle. A good starting point for calorie intake is knowing how much you should be eating a day to maintain body-weight, and then anything lower than that is a bonus Smile.

Excercises
It is not necessary to walk or work out extraneously every day, however, the more you do, the more you lose with faster results. On average 3500 calories equates to 1 lb of fat. So if you want to lose 1 lb a week, you have to do one of following...eat 3500 calories less than what you should be eating a week or 2-exercise away 3500 calories but still eat what you should be eating in a week. The more you want to lose/week, the harder it gets. I aim for 2 lbs a week. 3500 in nutrition and 3500 in cardio/fitness. This gives me some breathing room to take a day off for fitness and a moderately day off for nutrition.
