Looking for a good plan
I would just focus on recording what you actually eat for one week - don't change anything just get used to the app. Then you can decide for next week when you go shopping what you might want to avoid or replace with a healthier choice. Good luck!

Nurses Care
You can do it! I suggest eating food with barcodes to make it easier - Trader Joes and major grocery stores are awesome for this. Even staples like oatmeal can be scanned so you don't have to enter anything. Once you find something not in the app you add it and it's in recently eaten so its' not so hard to find it again.
