I'm very grateful I have a good relationship to the scale in my bathroom. It does not have any power over me and does not dictate my mood nor my behavior. It is simply one component in my daily ritual that I document and compare. The scale in my kitchen, however, is another story. While I have a good relationship with that one, too, it DOES have power over me. It's the boundary line, and it's a good one. It is the most significant tool I own - that, and Fat Secret. More significant than the CG workouts, the 8000 steps/day, the supplements and food choices. Tracking the amount of every last morsel of food I consume keeps me accurate, and eating toward specific macro goals has worked. Body recomp is the long game - it works and I'm happy to be playing it.
