For the first time in sixty-six hours, the place where freezes do not happen finally got above freezing. Broken pipes are everywhere, but not in my place. At least one of my neighbors drained her hoses like I did. To celebrate, I walked just over 5000 steps. Tomorrow, I shall try to increase it. It will take twice around the park to get to 10,000 steps.

My elder daughter called me today. At my urging, she also started the low carb lifestyle and feels much better. We shall work on the younger to do so as well. The younger does not need to lose weight, but she does need to be in better health. Both girls are high risk for diabetes. The elder wants me to return to martial arts, and I am pretty sure I shall start on Monday when the school reopens. They closed for the holidays. I have already decided to follow the Black Belt Challenge for 2018. I shall try to upload part of the poster I have.
242.0 lb Lost so far: 12.0 lb.    Still to go: 92.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
