Big meeting here at the office around 9:15 this morning. The program manager will be here to discuss the budget for next year. I'm nervous. Whatever it is, it is ... still going on vacation ... and hopefully will come back renewed, rejuvenated and ready to do whatever I need to do to get by.
Of course I was pleased to be back at April 2nd's weight this morning. I didn't do anything different yesterday than I had done the 3 days before so go figure. Still ... it was nice to see.
Grateful for ...
1. conversation with my dearest, oldest friend
2. underneath are the everlasting arms
3. fatsecret buddies who bolster me when I'm down, help me chuckle, and cheer me on!!
4. hopefully hearing the budget news and being able to begin to adjust to whatever I need to do to keep our head above water
5. freshly brewed coffee

I hope the meeting went well and the news wasn't too bad. We are still waiting for news too. We have our business planning meeting on April 19 and the whole organization will be taking part in this. Hopefully we will find out something then. Thinking about you and hoping for the best.

My position is not impacted. That is the good news. We will lose one position in our department, effective May 18th. Statewide 126 people were notified this morning of their position being eliminated. 9 offices will be closed statewide, one in our region just north of us.

Wow...I'm so glad you didn't lose your job. But if there are less people working, you will have to work more, because I'm sure there won't be less work.

Glad you are still employed. Its always sad when budgets dictate that numbers must drop and offices close - its just economics to the powers that be but for others its catastrophic. Mexico is nearly here...are you gettingexcited?
