I am a slave to the scale. I did not feel better getting up a hour early to go to the gym. It did not make me feel good as people asked me if I were losing weight. But yesterday when I got on the scale and it said 208.5 I was astounded and ready to shout from the roof top. I called everyone I could think of. Now having lost 22 lbs since April... I have gained some perspective. First, I naturally decreased my arthritis meds, I am better able to go up and down the steps. I still don't have the heart to try on my smaller clothes but it is coming. Notes to Nina, the first 10 lbs came off easy it was just a matter of changing the foods that I eat. But then I was stuck at 217 throughout the summer and it wasn't until the doctor told me I wasn't eligible for the sleeve for another six months that I got really serious. I started working out and people started asking if I were losing weight and commenting that I was losing inches so it shouldn't matter but it did matter. The scale was stuck. I decided to use the tools this site offers to tweak my diet. I got serious about my diet. and the scale moved I dropped again down to 211. I researched the keto diet and started adding fat. Who would have thought. And I dropped some more. If nothing else I know now I can do this and I will not stop till I reach the top. I will be 130 lbs again in this life.
