i dont know how to feel right now.. umm i've gained 13 lbs in about a week and a half.. i stopped smoking and along the way i just eat all the time instead of smoking like i was.. i am a lil dissappointed but i know in due time i will have both of these things under control it may take a little while cause its hard to give up too things that helped me out with stress at the same time..this depression crap is kicking my a**, but it is a new year and i swore up and down that i was going to kick my habit(well my hubby kinda decided that one on his own but i joined),and loose all the weight that i want/need to loose.. and honestly i think that me being home all the darn time doesnt help either cause i'm just bored out of my mind and just damn lazy cause i have so much back pain that i might as well be inhaling pain medication lol.. that was a bad joke.. i need to find my mojo again, and believe me its not to far around the corner cause i'm over 200 and once i go over that i really start to buckle down.. and not to mention i have not money to buy all the things i want to follow this diet so i'm going to just do a low fat/low cal.. type diet.. and go from there
203.8 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 38.8 lb.    Diet followed N/A.
gaining 8.6 lb a week

It's a shame how it takes so long to drop just one pound and all you have to do is cheat one time and you gain the weight you lost plus 10Lbs! I don't understand it. I know it's got to be hard to lose weight and stop smoking. Girl, I hope you are able to pull it off! A low fat/low cal diet will work just as Atkins, it's just probably going to take a little while long to lose weight. I'm going to switch to low cal. once I get down to a decent number. You can do it take your time and don't do any exercise that may cause your back more pain.

I too gain weight very quickly! Sometimes, it even shocks me that I am able to gain so fast! I'm trying to stick w/ the diet and stop smoking too and IT'S VERY HARD AND DEPRESSING! Like you, I'm always in the kitchen trying to replace my smoking habit but I know I can't do that if I want to lose. I feel your pain girl and I'm rootin' for you to do this! Just remember... you are NOT alone! I KNOW what you are feeling when it seems like you're being "punished" for not being able to eat or smoke! We will be rewarded in the end though. This is just going to be a really tough task for us! Our kids will have us around a lot longer and we'll be healthier too!!
