mike848's Journal, 24 March 2012

Weighed in this AM, not sure what to think here, but I have two scales at the house, one registered 168.5 and the other 168 lbs. I went with the higher reading. What is a bit confusing is at the doctor’s office yesterday, their scale showed 177.3 but I was fully clothed, shoes, etc. I am going with the scale I started this life style change with (168.5).

Ok so new scale at the house, one that measures BF% amongst other things, reading is as follows:

BF 16%, TBW 55.5%, MUS 40%, Bone 5.8 lbs.
168.5 lb Lost so far: 38.5 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Scales are all calibrated differently, so you can weigh something different on each one. You should be within a few pounds of the same weight on each one. The type of flooring a scale is on cal also effect the scale. It's always good to pick one scale as your "official" scale. Weigh the same scale, same clothes, same time for the most accurate gauge of weight loss. In the morning before eating or drinking anything and after going to the bathroom is a good time. The scale will fluctuate all day long for many reasons. Google "why the scale lies" for water weight insight.
