I've really been refocusing myself this past week. For the past 3 weeks I only got to the gym my minimum amount of times (3) and my weight loss had stalled. I was really getting down and was really starting to crave bad food.

With this week's weight loss I got that jolt of enthusiasm back and got to the gym 4 times and ate more fruits and veggies. I even tried a new class at the gym---Body Attack.

Let me tell you about Body Attack---I was not ready for it! I've come so far and gained so much strength and cardio endurance but sadly, not enough for that class! I was discouraged during the class at my poor performance but afterwards, I realized that I have other things other than just weight loss to try to strive for. I would love to really be able to get through that class; meaning do the moves and not be constantly be counting down the time until the class is over.

I think that this raises a point that I seem to have to repeatedly make to myself over and over again. I need to look at the overall picture and not focus on the day to day progress because some days suck. Some days I will gain a pound (or two), some days I'll plan to go to the gym and not get there, some days I'll eat something that I shouldn't.

I need to realize that the overall picture is that I am losing weight, gaining muscle, losing inches, getting stronger, feeling better, gaining endurance, trying new things, eating better than I was, having less headaches and other various pains, and I'm a whole ton happier. Why do I let little things get me down and make me want to derail myself?

I'll say it again and hope that this time I'll listen to it a little better, Dawn, be nice to yourself!
