dclemens's Journal, 12 March 2012

Well, I certainly have been feeling pretty low the past couple of weeks. The scale hasn't been moving and I've beating myself up quite a lot.

Luckily, I got to weigh in at the gym with my PT on Friday. Although I only lost 2lbs in the past 2 weeks I went down 2.8% in my body fat percentage because I lost 8lbs of fat overall!!! How awesome is that?

As a result my faith in myself and what I've been doing has been restored. I'm working out, eating relatively well, and thus I am seeing results. Would it be nice if the scale moved more? YES!!! But I fit into the next size smaller jeans now and my stamina has increased and things are getting better.

My husband keeps reminding me that I've made a commitment to be in this for the long haul and that slow and steady is the way to have a weight loss and life change that I will be able to maintain. I love that I have such a wise and wonderful man to support me throughout this process!

Lastly, my birthday is less than a month away. I asked my family for more PT sessions as a gift. I think that continuing my PT sessions for as long as possible will be very helpful and will keep me on the straight and narrow for as long as possible.
260.8 lb Lost so far: 10.8 lb.    Still to go: 90.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Congrats on your new body fat percentage. I am just starting my weight loss journey. I am of a similar starting weight and have not stepped on the scale again yet. I am trying to get healthy this time and am working closely with my doctor as well. I wish you the best! I know right where you are at.
