I'm not going to let daily weight fluctuations bother me. I'm doing cardio and resistance workouts daily, Most days I do both roadwork and weights. Yesterday I did weights only, chest, shoulders and triceps. I'm watching what I eat and recording everything. I keep my daily caloric intake a few hundred below my caloric expenditure.
I've cut out sweets, starches and have reduced my alcohol intake severely. Over the long run, I will lose fat and gain muscle. If my weight increases overall, that is OK, because I will be carrying less fat. I'm not concerned about being a 240lb bodybuilder because I don't have the genetics for it.
