Today is Day 8. I've been at this one week now. My weight has gone from 212.8 to 209.4, with a rise in the middle. Overall I've dropped 3.4 lbs. I'm drinking lots of ice water, about 6-7 liters per day. I've been eating lots of protein: around 200 grams daily, or about one gram per pound of body weight. I enjoy drinking in moderation: 1 or 2 cocktails, vodka, club soda and lime, whiskey and ice tea, sometimes a bloody mary, but I try to stay low-sodium. I record my drinks and count them in my calories for the day. I keep my caloric intake between 300 and 1,000 below my caloric output. I work out every day, either road cycling for cardio, weight lifting for 30-60 minutes, or both. I also work my core daily. I thought I would take a day off from exercise yesterday but ended up doing bicep curls. I haven't aggravated any of my old injuries yet. I've learned not to worry if my weight goes up a day or 2, just keep up the exercise and keep eating clean.
