I have not yet purchased a scale, but my Wii Fit shows that I am 288 with a BMI of 41.
288.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 138.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I always weigh in once a week on my wii fit plus. It's good to track back - the only down side is, it doesn't give parts of pounds, so sometimes, if you are slightly over or under the 1/2 way mark on a pound, it will register a loss or gain. You can always congratulate yourself on the BMI reading - even if it isn't registering a pound loss.... Keep your eye on the weight graph, to make sure it is a full pound. I have some body analyser scales as well... And use those daily, mainly for the body fat and muscle readings.... If you haven't got scales yet - bear that type in mind. They are a bit more expensive - but well worth it. Most of them register water %, body fat %, muscle weight, bone weight and visceral fat plus of course your weight lol
