LadyinDenim's Journal, 24 June 2016

I could not believe my eyes this morning. My weight stayed the same. I chowed yesterday. Oh, I loved every bite of everything I ate. I loved the dandelion leaf as much as the corn chip.

I had forgotten exactly where the restaurant was and parked three blocks away. It was perfect weather and a beautiful walk. My niece has a rare phenotype. She has long, curly, platinum blonde hair, blue eyes, and pale white skin. She is in love with a boy who is chinese/filipino. She told me their story, and as the women on here know, tales of young love are better than candy 💞

I noticed this morning that my arms are smaller. That was really good to see. The fat on my butt, thighs, and waist can be denied in a way. I only see them when showering, dressing, reclining. But the arm fat is there 24/7. I work, reach, groom, pet the critters, I see my own arms ALL THE TIME. Goodbye, arm fat. You are a nice pillow, but buh-bye!

I'm glad you're loving life! I hear you on that arm fat thing! That's how I gauge my losses... That and my stomach. Have a great day!

I've damaged my arms so badly, have decided that I'll wear long sleeves for the rest of my life. It's ok cause I'm always cold. My arms got really fat when I stopped knitting. I made several blankets after quitting smoking eight years ago. I didn't realize knitting was exercise, but muscle turned to fat anyway. I am going to start knitting again to see if it will work in the reverse. Lol I'll let you know. I think it's called low impact. 😳 😃

I love knitting. If it will tone my arms, I'm all over it! Sarah, I don't think muscles turn into fat. I'm sorry you feel ashamed of your arms. To tell the truth, I had been ashamed of my arms for years (I guess because they are my daily fat companions and easily "hidden"). I stopped feeling that way one day when my granddaughter (5 at the time) looked me in the eyes and said, "Grandma, you are fat. But you still look beautiful. I love you."

Muscle will atrophy if not used. If you are gaining weight at the same time, fast will replace the area that was once muscle.

True, our lives, our bodies. Same, same.

I mean to say our activity shapes our bodies and our inactivity shapes our bodies. My right index finger is really well toned. 😶
