This has been a week of birthday celebrations, bowling banquets, anniversary parties....and I still lost .4 lbs. That is a good week to me. Why? Because I didn't stop living and joining in the fun because I was trying to lose weight. No, I went and concentrated on making better choices....mindful eating. The truth is I also made a conscience decision to stay ahead of hunger and that helped keep the temptations in check.
It was a good week!

Congratulations! I can't wait to be successful at making good choices when out. I have not mastered that yet so am disgusted after every event with friends!

Princess 1947, I have only been on this journey since January. Have been attending WW meetings. I am finding this time, for whatever reason the program is working. The guilt is gone. I think of it as shopping. I get 30 points to spend a day on food with some in the extra in the bank for those special times. It seems to take the guilt away I have also learned to stay ahead of hunger. Skipping to "save" for going out does not work. When I am hungry....really hungry then I am less control. By stuffing my mouth every couple of hours with something works for me. Don't feel guilty about your choices. Accept it and just carry on. Hell I know it is not easy. I am 69 and for years have fought weight. I wrote about my journey on my blog....www.wife2widow2single.blogspot.com. You'll see that I fight the messages in my head as much as anyone. Since I lost my husband, I am finding my need to enjoy being with people far outweighs my need to eat. Don't give up Princess...especially don't give up on you!
