Five-Two Cowboy's Journal, 25 April 2016

Five more gone and 11 total in 2 weeks. Feels good. I can keep this going even if it slows down; which I know it will. This week's lesson is about pizza and beer. P&B nights are like tornadoes back in OKlahoma. You don't always get a lot of notice before one is right on top of you. So, my new wisdom is this: If the clouds are building in the morning, maybe forgo the Hoss Cartwright breakfast. See you next Monday.
260.0 lb Lost so far: 11.0 lb.    Still to go: 86.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I like your P&B strategy. Great progress too! How many calories do you eat on your two down days?

600. I've been a few over and a few under. Holding off til noon has always been easy so I have small snack around noon and large veggie laden salad for dinner and a little ham, turkey or egg. I like to get it done by 6 pm.

Cool! You're working even more of the IF concept with that long fast before you eat and shorter time frame for your eating hours. I take it you are pleased with your progress and finding this method workable?

Yes! I remember the excitement I had with Atkins at this point. This is psychologically similar. The difference is I don't see anything ominous on my horizon. I always had that with the low carb programs. I can do anything for a day and so far, that's all this program requires from me. Still targeting June 1 to go to Every Other Day. I like being able to tweak the various metrics along the way. Up day dinner times, down day walking, etc.

By the end of May you'll know if you even need to bother with going to the every other day plan. Because if you're losing steadily and well, why would you change?
