Registered 61 minutes on Wii Fit Plus and 45 minutes with Fitness Coach for a total of 101 minutes. Replaced my 6 oz glass with an 8 oz glass and managed to drink 8 glasses. Hubby suggested I drink my water with a straw and it DOES make the water consumption easier to handle. However, I still failed the water mini-challenge.

I hate the My Fitness Coach and I really enjoy it, but sometimes when I do anything other than cardio I get pretty upset that I didn't burn many calories. I think in my head "I coulda done cardio and burned almost 400, instead I worked my upper body and only burned 200" and this bums me out. I know I have to work the whole body, but I get frustrated. Also, the cross country and frog hops KILL me lol. Of course I used to say the double jacks KILL me and I couldn't keep up, but now I can, so maybe I will be able to keep up with those in the future also. How do you like your wii fit plus in comparison?

try adding lemon juice to your water if you don't like water much. I use a 12 oz glass and have a glass before each meal and with each meal. Then I have one before I work out, 2 during, and 1 afterwards.

The lemon juice and crystal light ideas are great ideas and I will try both, thank you! I do find drinking with a straw does help me to drink more water. Increasing the size of my glass also seems to help. I'm moving up from 8 oz glasses to 16 oz glasses. *groan* I wouldn't be too upset with burning "only 200" calories. That works out to 800 calories a week, which is still pretty good! I set my activity level at the laziest on the calorie usage calculator at http://www.healthyweightforum.org/eng/calculators/calories-required/ in order to find out how many calories I burn without focused exercising. For my height and weight, I burn about 1500 calories per day. Therefore, when I stick to eating 1200 calories I am burning an extra 300 calories every day just by being alive. In a week it takes 3500 calories to burn off a pound. I don't wish to lose too fast, so I'm trying for 1 lb a week. That means I only need to burn an extra 200 calories per day to make my 3500 burnoff. I do the workout recommended by the coach but I haven't got as far as you have kmaxwell. You got some tough ones there!! I can only imagine your frustration. Sounds like you are really pushing your body hard. Losing weight isn't as important to me as in keeping my flexibility. I don't know how old you are, but when you hit 55, believe me, flexibility is important. *smiling* In comparison to Fitness Coach, Wii Fit Plus, is much more fun, much more easier. I find Wii Fit is great for posture and lower body strengthening, whereas the Fitness Coach is better for Cardio, no matter which workout you do. It also helps that the Fitness Coach does not use the Wii Fit Plus board, so you are not restrained to a little area. I also have Wii Pilates which is amazing for muscle strengthening but one workout left me really sore the next day, so I don't do that one yet. Also have Wii Cardio which is so tortuously hard, I haven't looked at it the second time! Fitness Coach and Wii Fit Plus are great for beginner exercisers, which is basically what I am at my age.

great! I think I might check into the wii pilates. I heard from the trainer that that is the exercise to do to work your abs. I am 37 bout to turn 38 and I am currently in the best shape of my life. I wasn't always overweight, but always flabby lol. My thighs are rockin now! My cellulite is gone from them. It is still on the butt, but that's even looking nicer.

The thirties are a great era in one's lifetime, the best in MY opinion. You definitely sound like you are in the best shape of your life! Not only physically, but mentally as well. Congratulations!
