Thank you. I am 69-year-old woman who since my 5th grade when I was 1/2 inch off my adult height and 155 lbs which I carried through my first pregnancy at age 24 I have always been a "bigger woman". A lifetime of negative messages filled my head and somewhere in all of that I managed to have a good adult life. But now I've lost my husband, and find myself fighting hard to keep those negative message pushed back, but for whatever reason, something seems to be sticking. I find I am making better decisions with my food and every week for the last 7 I have shown a loss. That has never happened before. I pray this lasts as I don't want to spend the rest of my life fighting back those negative thoughts. I want to have fun, travel and play in the world. Thank everyone for their support.

Well, bless your heart! Sorry for your loss. You seem to have an upbeat attitude and that's half the battle. I have also had weight issues since childhood and have endured the negativity that came with it. (How many times did you hear "But you have such a pretty face!" Boy, if I had a nickel...) We have to just keep plugging along, grateful for every time the scale puts us in the "Lost" column instead of the "Gained" - no matter how much more we think it should have moved. Have to keep telling myself "Muscle weighs more than fat"...Keep your chin up, you're doing great!
