this i really can't explain. i didn't have anything salty and i didn't overeat yesterday :( a week of dieting and i basically have nothing to show for it. how frustrating? regardless, i'm sticking to my plan and bumping my calories up to 900 today so i can have snacks again.

Admittedly, I don't know the Hacker's Diet, but 900 calories sound VERY low, especially since you've been doing this for a while. You might want to put even more calories in there (at least up to 1200 calories) to make sure you're body isn't starving. Once your body thinks there is food shortage, you don't lose ANY weight.
I'd recommend you surf the community forum here on FS, and read a little about this - there is so much good info to get, and if you really don't need to push yourself this hard to get results, then why do it? :)

Hi Goddess, when I first started I was on a 1,000 calories a day (just because I had always been used to dieting on that many calories or lower). I then upped to 1,200 and am currently trying to up to 1,400. I was on 1,000 for about 2-3 months, before hiking it to 1,200.... I can honestly say it didn't hinder my weight loss. I lost the same amount and exercised roughly the same. I was scared of the hike, as I was always used to 1,000 calorie diets... But reading other journals and information, found that other people on FS were on a LOT more and still loosing.
I have played around with the protein / carb balance, ie eating more protein and cutting back on carbs, which works for me. .... Good luck x
