A question for the great folks of fatsecret.com...

I broke 180 today with a new weight of 179.5 (though with fluctations I'll probably jump up a pound or so, and then settle back down). This represents a total loss - from my highest weight ever, not since I started Fat Secret - of 70 lbs!

I gained most of my weight between the ages of 15-18 and peaked again around 26 before finally learning to change my life in a healthy way. Now I'm almost 29 and I'm only 10 lbs away from the top of BMI normal!

However, despite being close to my goal weight (170), I swear ever oz of fat left is located in the same spot - my gut, belly, whatever you want to call it. Some have told me that I'll never get rid of that because I was overweight when I was younger (though, I didn't have a weight problem until I was 15+).

What are my options? Could it magically disappear if I lose another 10-15 lbs? More? What I do tons of ab workouts to tone the area in general (I realize you can't focus fat loss, but you can make the area look better with muscle)? I'm willing to consider a bit of plastic surgery, if a) it's not used as substitute to lose weight and b) it's not too dangerous or doesn't cause other problems.

I hope it doesn't sound vain - I'm most concerned with how my clothes fit. I cannot wear my pants where I'd like since it's on the downslope of my belly and therefore ends up falling - wearing them extra high is not an option :p
179.5 lb Lost so far: 16.5 lb.    Still to go: 19.5 lb.    Diet followed 100%.
