Lost .6 pounds this week. Which is the .4 I gained last week and another .2. I know a loss is a loss, but I really hate the slow weeks. I think I need to switch up something, so I am going to add weight training into my exercise this week.

I have injured my knee while on the treadmill last week and have had to baby that since Thursday. Its still a little tender, but my plan is to walk on the treadmill M,W,F and then do weights on Tues, Thurs, and Saturday. Hopefully I will be able to lose a whole pound at next weeks weigh in.

I have retaken my points quiz for the last 3 or 4 weeks and my points haven't dropped any. I sometimes wonder if I need to manually adjust my points to start losing again. But I guess I will wait another week to see what the new exercise routine holds.

Weight training is great. It helps build lean muscle, so you will appear smaller. When you first start, you may see an increase on the scale. It is water that helps repair the muscles that tear when you begin lifting. Eating more lean protein, fruits and vegetables can also help with weight loss. Try to stay away from processed foods for a couple of weeks. Also increasing the intensity of your cardio workout can also help. As we age, it takes more effort to lose than when you are younger. But it can be done! Good luck!
