Induction Day 11

It's Saturday, and it's less than a week from TOM, scheduled for Wed-Sat of next week. I obviously didn't plan this out very well with the last week of Induction landing at this time! So, I will try to be reasonable, and not get too upset with the up and down of the weight fluctuations. I may not record the weight everyday, since I already know I will gain 2-3 pounds. I am going to stretch Induction until Saturday instead of ending next Tuesday. Sunday-Friday of next weekend is going to interesting trying to balance the cravings and the fight for staying on track.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. Got out of bed late, went to Trader Joe's, had a very late lunch at a taco place around the corner from us. We'd never been there before, and before we left I looked at the menu to make sure there was something I could eat. They had salads, so it was perfect. I will say this, that was a damn good salad! Grilled chicken, bacon, blue cheese, tomatoes, jalapenos and spring mix. YUM! After that we lazed around at home. The day certainly got away from us!

Getting another late start today, but I did get out of bed around 8:30, got a load of laundry started already, and about to make some breakfast. More shopping, and I NEED to get my walk in today, since I did not yesterday. I want to try to do that 4 miles every day, but at least 5 since sometimes life happens.

Have a great Saturday!

Don't worry about TOM, just wait til you feel the bloat effects are gone, and then return to weighing. It's actually good for you to see the fluctuations, and connect them to certain events, so you know what's going on... for future reference. Just wanted to say you can stay on Induction longer if you are happy w/ the losing amount, and don't want to cause a slow down w/ OWL. The very first stage of OWL is to simply add more VEGGIE carbs during the next two weeks or so after Induction. It's not a just throw anything in your way of eating that shows up on that list... there is actually a method to their madness. May want to consider that as you plan to make your move eventually. Hope you enjoy your walk! And enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Thanks, Paula! And yes, been there and done that with the fluctuations. Just a part of life. This too shall pass as they say. My problem with doing Atkins, is that I've never really made the transition after Induction. I tend to just stay eating tons of veggies and protein, and then wham! Next thing I know, I've completely gone off track, because I allowed myself a few too many cheats. I want to go through the process this time, but the right way so I don't have to go through Induction ever again! So, one day at a time for now. Now off to run those errands! Have a great weekend!
