Feeling very pleased another kilo gone.
I have one more week before we have 18 days of visitors which I know is going to be very difficult as they are very big eaters and love food and eating what seems like all day and night. One saving grace is that they aren't big drinkers so I won't be lured towards alcohol (I am very easily led 😉).
I am going to find this a real challenge because I don't want them to notice me watching what I eat. They are very overweight and know that they need to consider their health (they have a young baby) but are adamant that they are happy as they are and don't see why they should 'conform' and are quite vocal about it.
I would hate to spoil their holiday with us but really don't want to undo all the good I have don and the wedding isn't so far away so now I'm panicking a bit 😕
178.6 lb Lost so far: 44.4 lb.    Still to go: 24.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

At least you wont have to deal with the alcohol calories. Thats a big help. If someone encourages me to eat more that I want to I just say, no thanks, I am full. Then I change the subject..........eg wasnt that a lovely walk, what shall we do this afternoon, thats a nice top etc.

I guess it's 'each to their own'. I think if they challenge you on your own weightloss goals just explain that for you it's not about conforming but something you're doing for you and it's not a reflection on anyone else

These are the people who will DELIGHT in undoing your progress. Be careful! Say you are trying out new recipes. You could do the Slimming World or WW recipes of no point meals and give GIANT portions. If they’re coming to you YOU’RE in control! I’d do a monster chilli con carne with rice or a huge hot potato. You can take cntrol and DELIGHT in feeding them ‘free’ food!!

And do you know, they might be SO GRATEFUL to you if you keep them full of yummy stuff and in all those days they lose a bit! Being vocal about being happy being fat is just LIES! The fat girl in pitch perfect just did an interview. Nobody likes being fat. Everybody likes eating their favourite things and will stand up for eating them but nobody likes being fat.

Thank you for your support it helps to have other people's views and perspectives to make me really see things and how to navigate what I see as a big hurdle.

Recognising that there will be times when you are challenged and having a strategy to deal with that is vital when losing weight/maintaining. I have a lot of tricks I use!
