Burned most of my calories yesterday doing a bunch of chores around the house and two shorter walks with the dogs. Ended up taking Shasta to ER late last night as fever came back and she was breathing a little hard. They gave her fluids and she ate when we got home, so that’s better. Still waiting on bloodwork which will probably be Tuesday, in the meantime, she’s come out of her hiding place and eaten a little, so that’s all good. Left Chance out of his crate last night so that he could be near Sadie and not keep the neighbors up because I took Shasta. Only casualty was a place on the couch that he licked a lot. It’s a thing he does, it’s a little weird, but could be worse.

I’m going off to brunch with a friend in a few. We’re staying close by so I can get home in an hour to keep watch. Still hopeful this is just a bug. Ended up making scrambled eggs, rice and cottage cheese near midnight last night. Funny how many creatures that mix works for, humans included, when tummies are upset. Anyways, things are looking up, fingers crossed they stay that way.

Blob down, water up, muscle is okay because i was cutting up tree stuff yesterday and hauling it out. One day, i will get a yard service to help me. In the meantime, this is my strength training. Chainsaw on a stick, anyone?

Weekend rules, enjoy the day. BF made it to Nashville, not DCMA, and decided to drive the rest of the way to his destination. Better him than me. My last rental car experience was not the best. Press on, press on. I’m going to eat waffles, I think. Waffles first, swim later.

So sorry Shasta is feeling bad.I hope everything works out. I have a real household budget and put aside quite a bit of my tiny pension to have available for vet bills because they are not cheap!
