Sitting outside for once and trying to figure out why i haven’t been doing this lately. It’s because of all the rain we’ve had this year and how so much of it was on the weekends. The jasmine has gone crazy and taken over almost half of the space where my patio set is. Cleaning it is a nasty, sticky job and i don’t think I’m feeling up to it just yet. Was going to swim yesterday, but by the time i got there, i needed a nap. So over this thing. We did walk last night, slowly, but that was enough for me.

I seem to have a ton of baby birds this year even without the fountain. I quit filling it because of the avian flu that’s going around, but i need to check in with my wildlife friends so see if i can turn it back on once the heat gets here in July. My yard is exploding with color and blooms but it’s wild and out of control. The city has cut us back to a single green bin they pick up every other week, so I’m going to have to hire someone to haul once i start working on it again.

Funny thing they don’t tell you about San Diego, the weather in May and June (and April this year) is overcast for most of the day. We had sprinkles of rain last night. I live fairly close to the water so I also get the marine layer blanketing the house, which is great, but i could use a little sunshine. Keeping it short as I’m late and i need to wrap up a couple things for my mom.

Hi, Kat! I also sat outside for ten minutes in the bright sunshine this morning. Andrew Huberman podcast reminded me that this is important from a circadian rhythm perspective.

Ugh! It‘s actually over 90 up here Kat with blazing sun ☀️🔥. I‘d gladly swap you for your clouds, rain & marine layer. Everyday, all day. Don‘t like the sun & heat except we kind of need it for wine grapes 🍷🍷
