Perhaps you're putting on some muscle? We live in a food culture with constant temptations. Reeling it in is continuously swimming against the stream, but I have faith you can do it 😊

If you’re more fit the weight could definitely be muscle, it might be worth tracking progress via how a piece of clothing fits.

Summer is definitely late this year! 😡

JC - I understand where you are at. It is so hard when you get lean to stay there. I know I really struggle because my workouts are getting heavier and I seem to be more hungry! I know everyone states muscle weighs more but I also wonder for women if it really makes a difference unless you are a body builder?? I know when I have talked to my trainer about getting a 30" waist he tells me I have to lose more weight. Keep at it and you will get there. I am rooting for you! I am trying to get to 130 and it just seems to keep running from me! LOL

I agree with what Redporch said! You are still young, but as we age it seems harder to lose the weight. I too have been struggling with losing those last few pounds. My nutritionist echos what Redporch's trainer says. Waistline/ stomach is all diet. I do have a small waist but a belly. Unfortunately no amount of ab work has helped it. I'm going to nutritionist today, I'm scared to have waist measurement. I ate off the rails on Sunday. Best to you, and keep at it! 💪💜

@Diana - Good luck with the measurements! I have that belly too right below my waist. With jeans and leggings it is held in so you can't see it but a swimsuit doesn't hold it in! LOL. Why do us women have to have muffin tops! I know we should not complain because we are all at a great weight, so we have to focus on the good!

Yeah, stupid food, always makes me want to eat too! I feel your pain JC. I have been eating WAY too much McDonald’s the last month and it is really showing. We can change, it’s hard sometimes, but we can do hard things.

Millions of people would do anything to be at 135-140 lbs of weight ✅💪🏽🥦☘️ .. you’re doing great & we are rooting for you !

JC, are you eating badly or just more calories? Your body may need those calories if you're working out/ exercising. On the subject of waist size/ belly, it's really hard to diminish in that area as we get older. I am thrilled I got to a 30" waist, the smallest I have been in forever! I will never have a flat tummy because of loose skin. If I pull it taught it, flattens, but exercise doesn't fix that 😕 I eliminate the muffin top effect by not wearing clothing that sqeezes me in at the waist. JC, Summer may give you the push to eat lighter meals & lose a few lbs.😊

May I ask do you monitor your calories? ☺️ I’ve heard even keeping a food photo journaling helps a lot for monitoring. I personally started enjoying to take a quick photo of the food I’m about to eat and somehow magically with time I started making better choices

I am tempted almost daily and wish I could be of the mind set to stick with what I am supposed to eat. I hope to be more fit like you.

Life always has its ups and downs kinda like the scale. You know what to do - ReFocus yourself, you got this!

Redporchlady and Diana your comments meant a lot to me and are spot on. I have way more muscle and my waist is tight but lower tummy (like almost every human) has a little layer of fat. I have a really short torso so you can see everything. I can see my waist abs and upper abs and feel ripped but then I keep looking at the scale. Many of my clothes are too big in a good way. The lowest I've gotten was when i had covid I went to 134 but obviously that was temporary due to illness. What tips do people have who are making progress in their recomposition but not on the weight? The number on the scale gives me dysmorphia...always never good enough. But maybe that's the point so my 30 pounds never come back. Sending so much love ❤️

Yea I don’t understand female logic. They always want to weigh a certain weight. To me if you look better, more definition where’s the bad? Losing weight does not mean losing fat

Supergainz -- good point. Dr. Yoni Freedhoff advocates for finding your "happy weight." As in, the lowest weight you can maintain making healthy choices without driving yourself up a wall and making yourself miserable. JC -- if you're feeling more fit, don't stress too much about the scale 🤗

I agree that I would like to hear more tips on recomposition too. I want to be athletic looking and toned but I do think not wanting the weight to come back is something I have to deal with because I have yo-yo'd my entire life and topped out at 180#. So for me I am ok being fixated on my weight until I am ready to take the next step because I made a commitment to myself to not gain it back because if I do it will go beyond 180#.
